Fireworks over Cauble Park, Friday mornings at the market, the Fourth of July crowd thinning by the second week of August. What is less obvious, even to people who have been here five years, is how tightly the city stacks its fall programming. Between the first Saturday in September and the middle of November, roughly nine consecutive weekends run through the same 120 acres of green space at the center of town. Reading that calendar the way City Hall builds it, rather than the way the tourism site presents it, is the difference between showing up and getting boxed out.

Here is the local tell most residents miss: the Historic Downtown Acworth Farmers Market takes only two Saturdays off in the entire fall stretch, and those dark Saturdays are the map. The blackout dates tell you where to be

The 2026 Historic Downtown Acworth Farmer's Market runs on Friday mornings between April 10 and October 30, and Saturday mornings between May 16 and November 14 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, located at Logan Farm Park (4405 Cherokee Street), with no Saturday market on July 25, October 17, and November 7. Two of those three blackout Saturdays fall inside the autumn window. They are not scheduling accidents. They are the days the park is already spoken for.

September: the season opens with a mimosa and a concert

The Acworth Mimosa Festival was new when Atlanta Wine Festivals launched it, and its first two years read like a lesson in Acworth weather. The 2024 edition was canceled for inclement weather, with tickets rolled over to the Beer & Wine Festival at Logan Farm Park that November. The second annual returned on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Downtown Acworth, hosted by Atlanta Wine Festivals with live music and a festive atmosphere. The 2026 date lands on September 5. If you are new to it, the format is worth understanding before you buy a ticket. It is a 21 and older event with no kids or pets, and tickets include event entry, a souvenir cup, unlimited beer and wine samples, and entertainment. First 500 online tickets historically price at $35, with advance at $45, $50 after the cutoff, and $60 at the gate.

Two weeks later the calendar shifts from ticketed brunch drinks to free evening programming. Concert on the Green: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month returns to Logan Farm Park on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 5 to 10 p.m. This is one of the events that most rewards walking rather than driving. The park's main entrance sits at 4405 Cherokee Street, adjacent to the Acworth Community Center, with walking trails, a pavilion, restrooms, and a large destination playground a short distance from the historic downtown shopping district and restaurants. Park at the edges, cut through, and you avoid the choreography that unfolds on Main Street around dinner.

September also carries the quieter civic items that fill in between the marquee dates. September in Acworth includes the Farmers Market, Acworth Mimosa Festival, Concert on the Green: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage, Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup, Mother-Son Camp Out, and the Save Acworth History Foundation's Annual Fundraiser Ball. The cleanup and the fundraiser ball are the two most residents overlook. Both are the sort of thing you would only know about from a neighbor.

October: the month that earns the blackout

The most important date on the fall calendar is October 17. The Taste of Acworth features food samples from over 150 local vendors, spanning the Historic Downtown District along Main Street, with two live entertainment stages, taking place on Saturday, October 17. This is why the Farmers Market goes dark that morning. The vendor footprint takes the same real estate.

A week later, the Halloween JamBOOree turns downtown into a costume event. October brings the Acworth Farmers Market, Halloween JamBOOree, Safe-O-Ween, and Taste of Acworth. Safe-O-Ween runs alongside as the family-oriented option, so if you are choosing which one to bring the kids to, they are different events on different scales.

Then Halloween itself does something quietly unusual for a city this size. It runs two events on top of each other. On Saturday, October 31, Acworth will host a Classic Car Cruise in Downtown Acworth from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Logan Farm Park (4405 Cherokee Street). The Acworth Beer & Wine Festival, historically a Logan Farm Park afternoon event in the same 1 to 5 p.m. window, has landed on October 31 in past years as well. If both hold to that pattern in 2026, the park will be running a car show and a beverage festival simultaneously from mid-afternoon into evening. Plan the parking accordingly. The North Kennesaw feeder roads back up quickly once the cruise-in traffic starts staging.

November: the second blackout, and a race

The second Saturday-market blackout arrives on November 7. Cornhole ATL is back at Logan Farm Park, hosting their Fall State Cornament with the best leagues from across the state of Georgia. If cornhole tournaments are not your thing, that is fine. The park is worth walking anyway with the tree canopy at peak color.

The rest of the month is the softest programming of the fall. November includes the Acworth Beer & Wine Festival, Tailgates & Tall Boys, Turkey Chase 5k and 2k, and the Veterans Day Ceremony. The Turkey Chase is the one to note if you run. It is small enough that you can register late, and it is a genuine neighborhood event rather than a chip-timed regional draw.

What to do on the off weekends

Between the marquee dates, the off weekends are what actually make fall in Acworth pleasant to live through. A few worth putting on the list:

• The Farmers Market on the Fridays it is open. The 2026 season quietly did something new. For the first time, the Acworth Farmer's Market is at Logan Farm Park on Fridays and Saturdays. Friday mornings remain the smaller, easier crowd. Saturday is the newer, busier option.
• The Rena Henton Theatre. Acworth Cultural Arts' Rena Henton Theatre at the Roberts School Community and Education Center is the new home to the Acworth Theatre Company, with multiple performances and comedy shows on the 2026 calendar. Most residents still associate the Roberts School with the Community Center. The theatre programming is worth checking before you drive to Kennesaw or Marietta for a show.
• Fore Seasons Golf Club when it rains. With five Trackman-powered golf bays at Fore Seasons Golf Club, you can play a full course, practice on the range, or just play golf games while enjoying drinks and small bites from the bar. This is the answer to a wet Saturday when Cobblestone is not an option.
• Dallas Landing Park on the warm afternoons that keep happening into October. Dallas Landing Park offers a wide expanse of beach access on Lake Allatoona, with picnic tables and grills throughout, making it a place to spend an entire day out with the family.

The through-line

The reason to think about the fall calendar this way, rather than as a list of things happening in your inbox, is that Acworth is a small enough city that the same 120 acres and the same six-block stretch of Main Street carry almost every event.
